Ahlers > A friendly marmot pays us a visit.

Ahlers > No campfires (duh!), and our first view of Edward Peak/The Lost World Plateau (in the distance), taken from the top of Prusik Pass looking basically north.

Ahlers > Talk to anyone who's done a high alpine hike with me, and they'll tell you I have this thing for larch trees. Here are a bunch of them near the south end of Shield Lake.

Ahlers > Edward Peak lived up to its billing as The Lost World Plateau. We couldn't believe the lush vegetation at this elevation.
